Benjamin Jasnow

is a writer and Assistant Teaching Professor of Philosophy at UMKC. His teaching and research focus on ethics, critical thinking, Latin and Greek language, literature, history, and race and ethnicity. He is also a student in the MFA program in fiction at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.

His short story "Theocritus" recently appeared in R&R.

He is the author of a poetry chapbook, Georgic Fantasy (Artist's Proof Editions, 2016). His nine-poem sequence, Underworld, was published with Poet Lore in 2017. He has also translated the ancient Greek poet Theocritus with illustrations by the artist John Woodman (PVCRS, The Open University, 2014).
